Surfski Hong Kong

Held at sea and without a mythical creature in sight, the Dragon Run nevertheless added another dimension to Hong Kong’s adventure scene back in November. The surfski challenge was held as part of the International Ocean Kayak and Outrigger Championships and offered a masterclass in paddling as the cream of the world’s specialists went head-to-head to win the first prize of US$5,000 in cash.

Dawid Mocke of South Africa won, from Lewis Laughlin of Tahiti, with Mocke’s countryman, surfski legend Oscar Chalupsky, in third place.
